Wim Sonneveld
Tour de Chant: an ode to Wim Sonneveld. Fifty years ago, the Dutch comedian set out with the Metropole Orchestra to hold a preliminary meeting for the Tour de Chant he had had in mind for years. On the way, he suffered a heart attack in the car and was taken to hospital by two hitchhikers he had picked up. He died there more than two weeks later of a second heart attack. Fifty years later, the Metropole Orchestra is playing a never-mentioned concert.
