Ode to winter

On the darkest day of the year, this sparkling musical duo brings an ode to winter with music by Grieg, Sibelius, Brahms, Fauré and Wolf, among others. Especially for this winter program in the Concertgemaal, singing and piano are supplemented with horn, viola and cello and the repertoire is provided with a touch of Christmas. A fairytale journey through a wintery Europe.

Helena of Heel

Helena is a much sought-after singer with a wide repertoire and has sung with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, Asko|Schönberg and the Corelli Consort Talinn and has performed at the Donaueschinger Musiktage, the Gergiev Festival and the Holland Festival. She also makes her own productions in which existing compositions are combined with pieces written especially for her by composers such as Jeff Hamburg and Max Knigge. Together with Naomi Tamura she recorded the CD 'Mein Liebeslied' with compositions by Hector Berlioz, Thomas Jennefelt and Gustav Mahler.
