Erik Bosgraaf, 'the recorder player who can dance in baroque style and improvise like a jazz musician' (de Volkskrant), is generally considered one of the world's most important recorder players. His playing is reminiscent of footballer Dennis Bergkamp: he combines refinement and virtuosity with breathtaking simplicity. He is a big name in both classical Early Music and avant-garde jazz, has worked with great composers such as Pierre Boulez and Arvo Pärt and travels the world to perform as a soloist or conductor in major concert halls. It has brought him numerous prizes and rave reviews. In the Jungle he will praise the yogis, because as de Volkskrant says again: 'Bosgraaf on alto recorder is soothing and passionate at the same time.'

What is a yoga concert?

The calm, meditative and at the same time intense postures of yin yoga give the opportunity to sink deeper into consciousness, beyond the thought patterns of the mind. On the yoga mat, physical sensations intertwine with the musical improvisations. Thoughts calm down, creating space for an open encounter: the live improvised music, the yoga postures and mystical poetry bundle together, interact and strengthen each other into a new experience.

Door opens: 10:45 am.

Bring a mat, warm clothes and possibly a water bottle and props. There are a limited number of mats available and a blanket for everyone. The instructions and poetry are bilingual.
