The global versus the local
What is special about this exhibition is how the works show a tension between facial recognition technology and the craftsmanlike execution of the same theme. The material in which the portraits are made and the content theme. It is beautiful to see how the global is opposed to the local and the global is opposed to the local.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers benefits, but raises questions about its use and ethics. AI can lead to mass surveillance and discrimination if data is distorted. The technology is not inherently bad, but our use of it determines its impact. We must set ethical boundaries and ensure that AI remains a unifying force.
