Museum Het Schip and the Illustration Embassy present The Illustrated Urban Wilderness at the Meterhuisje at Westergas. This pop-up exhibition, adjacent to "The Worker's Paradise," celebrates the biodiversity of Westerpark and explores the convergence of city and nature. Through botanical illustrations, eco-friendly prints, workshops, and open studios, visitors can discover how greenery contributes to a livable city. Open from January 31 to March 2. Discover how nature and the city can grow and inspire together
Museum Het Schip, the museum dedicated to Amsterdam School art, architecture, and social housing, presents a unique project in collaboration with the Illustration Embassy: The Illustrated Urban Wilderness. In the studio at the Meterhuisje at Westergas, illustrators pay tribute to the biodiversity of Westerpark.
This pop-up exhibition, organized alongside the temporary exhibition The Worker’s Paradise: Garden Villages and Garden Cities, invites visitors to delve into the flora and fauna of the park in depth.
From botanical illustrations to eco-friendly prints, the project highlights the connection between city and nature and envisions a green paradise that benefits both residents and wildlife.
