SOFIE KRAMER 'SCOLD' (THEATER PERFORMANCE)

Sofie Kramer is a theatre artist, performer and writer. Driven by personal experience and Greek mythology, she sheds light on the theme of the fighting body in her physical and highly visual performances. SCOLD tells the tragicomical story of a woman confronted with a baby in formaldehyde, revealing that she secretly had an abortion ten years ago.

VALENTINE HOOGENKAMP

Valentijn Hoogenkamp mixes writing, visual art, fashion, music, and more. Following a series of plays and poetry performances, he published his debut novel in 2021, which was nominated for the Anton Wachter Prijs. In his work, Hoogenkamp explores themes such as coming of age, gender roles, sexual orientation and relationships.

JOACHIM BADENHORST SOLO

Joachim Badenhorst is mainly being praised for his clarinet skills. But there’s more. He’s a solo musician, the owner of the record label KLEIN, a participant in a multitude of ensembles, and the leader of bands such as Carate Urio Orchestra and Zero Years Kid. He is considered one of the most important Belgian improvisers of the past fifteen years.

DANIEL ESKENS SOLO

Heartfelt emotion is a common thread through the music of Daniël Eskens, who bridges jazz, alternative pop, club and improv. Daniël made his mark as a bassist in his band FAST DE and in various jazz and rock formations. Now he will expose another side, inspired by his experiences following his father’s funeral. Originally recorded in the Antonius van Padua church, the result is a fragile interplay of deep bass sounds and melodies with atmospheric harmonies.

KRISTJÁN MARTINSSON

Kristján Martinsson is an unpredictable Icelandic pianist, composer and multi-instrumentalist who lives in Amsterdam. His style explores directions such as melodic classical, indie jazz and atmospherics. Tonight, he will do the honours of performing as the bar pianist to set the mood between concerts.
