Saxophonist Camilla George is inextricably linked to London's innovative jazz scene. Like her contemporaries Nubya Garcia, Shabaka Hutchings and Zara McFarlane, she is open to all kinds of contemporary influences. Her music is a hypnotic mix of Afro-futurism, hip-hop and jazz. In doing so, she shows a political awareness and a keen interest in African history.
