Chris Muller Big band

The Chris Muller Big Band is one of the youngest professional big bands in the Netherlands and consists of the most incredible jazz talents. With fresh, new big band music, the band is ready to blow the audience away and showcase a new sound in line with the rich Dutch big band tradition. As a recently graduated physicist, pianist Chris Muller wrote the composition 'Turning Thoughts', which is also the title of the debut album presented by his big band.

Turning Thoughts

This piece described the transition from the scientific world to the freedom of music and was, therefore, indicative of Muller's phase of life at that time. As a jazz pianist and composer, he is strongly influenced by the great masters of jazz. With his band, he gives an original contemporary twist to that tradition. The Chris Muller Big Band is now on our stage for the first time and invites two special guests: saxophonist Jasper Blom and singer Nicola Missing.
