Mustard N' Onions
Ghost-Note provides an explosive live experience with no less than eight absolute funk maestros, fueled by the danceable rhythms of drummer Robert 'Sput' Searight and percussionist Nate Werth. Together they also form the beating heart of the successful fusion formation Snarky Puppy. In Ghost-Note they work together with members from the bands of Prince, Erykah Badu, Herbie Hancock, Kendrick Lamar and others. They push the boundaries of funk with influences from afrobeat, hip hop and psychedelica. Ghost-Note was launched in 2015 with the album 'Fortified', which was followed up in 2018 with 'Swagism'.
This year saw the release of 'Mustard N' Onions', further proof that the band represents an ever-expanding family of musicians. The original mission remains the same: Ghost-Note shapes the future of funk. In doing so, the group builds on the work of the genre's founders, such as James Brown and Sly & the Family Stone.
