Gabriela Montero has been playing Grieg's Piano Concerto since she was eleven. The sheet music she used as a child lasted about three decades, she had covered it with children's stickers in the margins. The Venezuelan musician now has a new copy, but this history says everything about her years of dedication to this virtuoso masterpiece.

Bruckner Symphony No. 4

Bruckner's Fourth Symphony , the 'Romantic', is one of his most beloved. From the first horn signal to the masterful final chord, this music is immediately appealing. Long melodic lines, harmonic freedom and rich instrumentation characterize the four-part work, which is a pearl within Bruckner's oeuvre. The performance is in the hands of the North Netherlands Orchestra and its recently appointed chief conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen.
