Film music mainly involves heroic orchestral sounds, preferably performed by large symphony orchestras. And don't forget the harmonica for Ennio Morricone's legendary tunes. But did you know that beautiful film music has also been written with a leading role for choristers? Under the direction of Heinz Walter Florin, the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie presents an exciting film evening together with no fewer than three German choirs: Collegium Cantandi Bonn, the male choir Deutz-Chor Köln and Frauenchor Belcanta Bonn.

Whether it concerns the heroic deeds of Ben-Hur, James Bond or the cowboys from Once Upon a Time in the West , the adventures gain extra impact thanks to the overwhelming film music for choir and orchestra. And this also applies to the romantic love scenes in films such as The Lion King , James Bond and Breakfast at Tiffany's . Christiaan Kuyvenhoven presents this wonderful evening, bringing the music summer in The Concertgebouw to a festive end.
