'A New Day' is the new album by master pianist Giovanni Guidi, which was released last July on the quality label ECM Records. It is already the fourth album by Guidi, who was discovered as a young pianist by trumpet legend Enrico Rava, which he releases on this renowned label.

This time with a special guest: tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis. Lewis played a fiery duo set with Chad Taylor during the opening night of our anniversary month in October, but will now show a completely different side of himself.

The typical, atmospheric ECM sound of Guidi's trio, combined with Lewis' saxophone playing, produces an exciting compromise that continues to fascinate.
