F olklore, rhythmic expressions and warm sounds

In this recital the ears are trained on folklore, rhythmic expressions, warm sounds and electronic participation. This concert is a true adventure where the viola and the piano express themselves together in their richness, warmth and versatility. Duo Buruk-Wieringa takes you from Hungary to a homegrown world premiere.

“By programming the Dutch composers Géza Frid and Henk Badings in their context with music by Bartók and Oscar van Dillen, we want to introduce our listeners to the great diversity of Dutch musical expressions, a language that is very diverse and expressive, but with which the general public is not yet known. However, they are real musical gems from our own soil. With this expressive, musically colorful, original, compelling, creative and innovative concert program, we want to contribute to Dutch cultural education and the further development of a stronger Dutch musical identity.”
