As co-founder of Phronesis, Jasper Høiby gave new energy to the concept of the piano trio. With 3Elements he continues in the same vein. For this formation he invites different young players time and again. He made the album Like Water with musicians who are active in the Netherlands: piano prodigy Chaerin Im and monster drummer Jamie Peet. They also challenge each other live with Høiby's melodic compositions. When it comes to the double bass, Jasper Høiby is one of the big names in British jazz: expressive, charismatic and with an unmistakable talent for writing melodies that stick with you. The originally Danish bassist is making a splash internationally as a member of Phronesis. He also formed the bands Fellow Creatures and Planet B. His music transcends genres, but has connections with jazz, improvisation, rock and folk.
