Zack Lober’s No Fill3r with Sun-Mi Hong, Suzan Veneman ft. Jasper Blom
With 20 years of experience as an accompanist, Zack Lober now finally has his own band according to his own ideas: catchy jazz songs that you can hum along, in a perfect marriage with spicy spontaneous improvisations. The trio with rising stars Suzan Veneman on trumpet and Sun-Mi Hong on drums is reinforced for this performance with tenor giant and Boy Edgar Prize winner Jasper Blom.

Catchy jazz from Canadian bass veteran and his Dutch band
Montreal-born double bassist and composer Zack Lober first played in Boston and then for eleven years in the jazz clubs of New York, with respected band leaders such as Henry Threadgill, David Binney and Seamus Blake. In 2019 he moved to the Netherlands where he founded this trio following the example of Paul Bley and Jimmy Giuffre. Last year the formation's first album was released on ZenneZ Records. For the recordings at Wisseloord Studios, Zack enlisted the help of another Dutch great, saxophonist Ben van Gelder, who produced the album. 'Quietly adventurous' (Downbeat).
