Orchestra De Ereprijs + Elisabeth Hetherington - "tattar...rattat"
An infectious total experience of light, sound, space, music and movement in Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ. Music is a ritual, but with a deeper meaning. That is what the Cypriot composer Andys Skordis, who lives in the Netherlands, has to offer with "tattar…rattat", written especially for Orkest De Ereprijs and soprano Elisabeth Hetherington.

"tattar...rattat"
This palindrome symbolises the way in which Skordis combines the baroque song form air de cour with contemporary music in an infectious total experience of light, sound, space, music and movement.
Dutch-Canadian soprano Elisabeth Hetherington is a musical all-rounder who moves just as easily in old music as in the most contemporary notes. This earned her the Dutch Classical Talent Award in 2020. Together with the ever-colourful Orkest De Ereprijs, chief conductor Gregory Charette and gamba wizard Evan Buttar, she lets the audience float between the present and the past like a true shaman.
