Music for the beach and the city
Sweet Toko plays a mix of Caribbean grooves and dizzying jazz and can do it anywhere, under the palm trees on a tropical beach and under the skyscrapers of the big city. Eye-catcher is singer and bassist Adinda Meertins. She is supported by an international band supplemented with extra percussion.
Adinda Meertins won a Latin Grammy with the Colombian formation Monsieur Periné, with which she performed worldwide. In her home country the Netherlands she founded Sweet Toko, with musicians from the Metropole Orchestra and Re:Freshed Orchestra, among others. Sweet & Sour, Sweet Toko's debut album, was produced by Jason Lindner, the keyboard player from New York who once played with David Bowie.
After the concert there is Salsa Panorama, the Cuban salsa party in our café with a fantastic view, where you can dance until the early hours. Experienced or not, everyone is welcome.
