Perrate – Tres Golpes
Cantaor Tomás de Perrate, simply Perrate, is a unique voice in contemporary flamenco. With his deep timbre and raw lamento, he switches effortlessly between unadulterated 'cante jondo' and new musical horizons. A magical flamenco journey, where old styles and new experiments come together in a unique quartet with a breathtaking dancer in Bimhuis.

Tres Golpes
Cantaor Tomás de Perrate continues the line of a 'gitano' family dynasty from Utrera that produced legendary singers. In his latest project 'Tres Golpes' - Three Beats - Perrate expresses time-honored flamenco styles such as tonás, romances, seguiriyas and seguidillas in his own unique way. He masterfully connects them to new vocal experiments, and also delves deeply into popular baroque music styles such as folías, chaconas and jácaras. The album, produced by Raül Refree (known from Rosalía), was named the best flamenco album of the year by the Spanish newspaper El País. In a dream combo with master guitarist Alfredo Lagos and percussionist Antonio Moreno, Perrate performs 'Tres Golpes_Redux' in concert: a timeless journey through the history of flamenco. Invitada especial Leonor Leal frames this musical trip with accurate dance drawings. Federico García Lorca: 'The 'cante jondo' always sings at night. … In the midst of the darkness she shoots golden arrows that pierce our hearts.”
