The Mass for double choir is one of the most performed and best compositions by the Swiss-Dutch composer Martin, who died 50 years ago in Naarden. The beautiful Agnus Dei from that Mass sounds like a heartfelt cry for peace.

Great Broadcasting Choir

With more than sixty vocalists, the Groot Omroepkoor is the only professionally operating choir of this size in the Netherlands. Since its founding in 1945, the choir has been an indispensable part of Dutch musical life. It sings the choir parts in the major concert series of the Dutch Public Broadcasting and can be heard almost weekly in live concerts via the radio. The choir has performed numerous premieres by the most important composers of our time, including Boulez, Ligeti and Messiaen. High time for a debut in the Choirs series of the Dutch hall for contemporary music.
