New string quartet by a contemporary uomo universale
'The Meccore String Quartet is without a doubt the best Polish quartet ever', says Günter Pichler, primarius of the legendary Alban Berg Quartet. Since its foundation in 2007, the Meccore String Quartet has made a great impression internationally, among other things with their brilliant recording of Penderecki's string quartets. Now, with Thomas Beijer, they will play the underexposed but beautiful quintet by Juliusz Zarębski in addition to the famous Piano Quintet by Brahms.
