Open Oost organizes open studio route and central exhibition at a special location Plantage Dok, Amsterdam Center-Oost

From October 4 to 6, 2024, the artist collective Open Oost is organizing an open studio route and central exhibition in the Plantage Dokzaal in Amsterdam Center-Oost. This year, Open Oost is celebrating a special milestone: 25 years of open studios on the Eastern Islands, Kadijken and Entrepotdok.

Cultural event

There will be a central exhibition in the Plantage Dokzaal for 3 days and various artists will open their studios to the public. In addition to the exhibitions, musical performances and workshops are planned. More than 30 artists show their work, including abstract and figurative painting, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and photography. Most works are for sale. Goal

The aim of Open Oost is to bring visitors into direct contact with the work, working environment and working methods of artists who live and work in and around the Centrum-Oost area. By opening their studio or workspace to the public, the artists promote social cohesion and increase the visibility of their work. This opportunity offers artists a platform to profile themselves artistically and sell their work.
