Nai Barghouti & Friends
The new group around Nai Barghouti was founded in Amsterdam and combines different styles and playing methods, from jazz to Arabic. Khalil Khoury is a great on qanun, the reclining zither-like stringed instrument. Jazz pianist Tony Roe often played with us with Tin Men & The Telephone. Percussionist Ruven Ruppik has collaborated with greats from various musical cultures, including Paco Peña and Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. And bass guitarist Diego Alva studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory, just like Nai Barghouti.
