De Amsterdamse Cantorij - O southernmost sky
In the program O zuyderste Lucht, the Amsterdam Cantorij sings a cappella works by Dutch composers. Big names such as Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck and Hendrik Andriessen are featured, as well as lesser-known ones such as Cornelis Padbrué and Calliope Tsoupaki.

O southernmost sky
Tsoupaki, 'Composer Laureate' from 2018 to 2021, wrote the work from which the title of the program is derived. The theme of 'air' also returns in Dämmerung by Diepenbrock and De nebula covers us by Verhulst. In addition to works for the entire choir, there will also be pieces for just a male or female choir, by Badings and Manneke.
It promises to be a varied afternoon in which the audience will be taken through more than four centuries of Dutch choral music.
