About Josee Koning
She was the first singer in our country to devote herself to Brazilian music, initially with the band Batida and later solo. Her eleventh solo album Doce Presença was produced by the famous Brazilian pianist and singer Ivan Lins, who describes it as: 'Delicate, intimate, melodious and with great lyrics.'
Josee is accompanied by an international band with master guitarist Leonardo Amuedo, who now lives in the United States. He brings his son with him, the talented drummer Danilo Amuedo. Pianist Hans Vroomans has been accompanying Josee for many years and is an absolute specialist in the Brazilian repertoire. The versatile Brazilian bassist Matheus Nicolaiewsky completes the quartet.
