Today the birthdays and lasting legacy of two giants of contemporary music, Misha Mengelberg (June 5, 1935 – March 3, 2017) and Louis Andriessen (June 6, 1939 – July 1, 2021), are celebrated. Both composer and improviser friends have not only shaken up Dutch music, but have left their mark all over the world. A colourful group pays tribute to them in the Bimhuis on an evening full of ingenuity and friendship.
