In the DATSKAT series, the Bimhuis gives space to innovative acts that move between jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul and more. It will be with guitarist/producer Mansur Brown from London this time. Mansur Brown grew up in Brixton, and although the guitar remains a guiding principle in his music, he is increasingly making himself heard by other instruments. For example, on his album 'Heiwa', he plays keyboards, flute and saxophone and even sings. The successor 'Desta – The Memories Between' was recently launched on AMAI, Mansur Brown's own label, which he presents as a platform for music, film, visual arts and even new technology.
